To be famous you must WANT to be famous. People will recognize you, want things from you, and your ability to blend in will slowly fade away. At least within the niche crowd who selects you as their icon.

Who do you want to be? Or better put, who do you want people to THINK you are?
Think about those important people you like. What parts of them do you want to have. Make a list and put “I am” in front of that list.
Make the changes to become that person. Buy the clothes that person will wear and wear them. Even if all you can afford is one outfit – WEAR IT!
Cut your hair, eat the foods, live in the place you will live (even if it’s only in your mind to start.)
Becoming the authority or celebrity of your niche means people will identify with you. People will take your word on faith, and people will buy what you tell them to buy. It is a position of trust you don’t want to abuse.
Show off your skills so people know what you are an expert in. Brag a little by making public announcement of your accomplishments.
“We sold $5 Million of these and gave $4 Million to charity!” Follow up with the message of how it was your expertise that allowed all that good stuff to happen.

Use your skills to help people in a way it gets you press coverage (even if you have to write the press piece and promote it yourself)

There are a lot of people being loud but you can be outrageously loud. People like Lady Gaga who took a page from Madonna when she created her brand.
You might notice that most of the people who have made themselves a notable brand are performers. Performers who became celebrates.

That is the one very common thread the top celebrities have. They are professional.
For sure some rise to fame and are not particularly mature or professional. But their flame flickers and wanes in a short time. Those that fulfilled all the demands required to establish their personal brands are still with us.
